WALK-IN CLINIC
Columbus Medical Patient Guidelines

Columbus Medical strives to provide excellent quality health care in a timely manner. Our Walk-In Clinic is part of that effort, offering you and your family care for immediate health concerns without having to wait for an appointment.

Walk-In hours are 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m., Monday – Friday. Our “Walk-In” service is available only to already established Columbus Medical patients. If you are a new patient, you will need to be seen by a provider in a scheduled visit before utilizing “walk-in.”

Walk-In patients are seen on a “first come, first serve” basis and should only be used for “acute illness” where new symptoms and urgent concerns can be addressed.

Acute Illnesses that are appropriate for “Walk-In” are things such as:

Sinusitis
Colds
Flu
Minor infections
Sore throats
Minor sprains

More complex symptoms, on-going health concerns, prescription refills, wellness check-ups and follow up visits for previously diagnosed problems should be addressed by scheduled appointment with your provider..

Our concern is that we allow enough time for you to explain your medical condition and to get needed treatment. Most scheduled appointments are made for at least 15 minutes or longer, whereas “walk-in” visits average 10 minutes or less.

Should our “walk-in” staff or provider determine that your particular situation is more complex than appropriate for “walk-in”, every effort will be made to get you an appointment with a provider at the soonest possible time.
